What is Stacker 3?
Stacker 3 is for people who only need or want to lose a maximum of 10-20 pounds, which is a relatively small amount of weight. The manufacturer also claims that Stacker 3 helps keep you mentally alert and increases your energy and stamina.
Stacker 3 Ingredients
Aside from the relatively large amount of caffeine (about twice the amount of a cup of coffee), Stacker 3 also contains chitosan, which theoretically blocks the absorption of fat in the body.
More research reveals that Stacker 3 also contains what is referred to as their “proprietary blend”. This turns out to be a combination of white willow bark, grapefruit extract, cactus extract and kola nut seeds, which are another source of caffeine.
Stacker 3 Side-effects
Individuals who are allergic to shellfish should be aware that this ingredient is made from parts of shellfish and may cause an adverse reaction.
Also, if you are sensitive to the effects of caffeine, this product would likely cause an adverse reaction.
Does Stacker 3 Work?
For those of you who are now asking if Stacker 3 works, based on the ingredients and the low expectations for weight loss, it might. It also might cause heart palpitations, anxiety and allergic reactions, all of which could be avoided by taking a product that does not rely so heavily on stimulants.
Stacker 3 is not FDA approved, there is no research evidence that it is safe and effective. Caffeine quite naturally on it’s own creates mental alertness and increased energy. Why would you purchase a pill in order to experience these effects?
Chitosan, the other “miracle” ingredient in this supplement also has no scientific evidence to prove it’s effectiveness in blocking fat absorption.

Will Stacker 3 Work For You?
If you want to lose weight and do it safely and permanently, this product is probably not going to work for you. As with all caffeine products, the drop in energy and blood sugars are proportional to the amount of caffeine ingested, making for a large letdown and significant potential for binge eating.
There certainly are products that are safer, and if you find that caffeine works for you to lose weight, why pay for it in a pill?
